More About Us

Originally designed to assist seniors in need, The Helping Hands Ministry has grown into a multi-facet ministry whose goal is to serve as a resource for children, families, single adults, seniors, and veterans in need. Each year the ministry aims to prepare and distribute food and care packages to seniors and veterans, Christmas gifts to underprivileged children, provide resources to those in need of housing and jobs, and much more. Initiative to Support the Homeless

For our homeless community, we go beyond just providing care packages with socks and personal hygiene products. Especially during the winter months, we make sure to include essential cold weather items in these packages. From warm gloves and hats to thermal blankets and hand warmers, we aim to offer comfort and protection against the harsh elements. Our goal is to show compassion and support for those in need, helping them feel seen and cared for during challenging times.

School Support

In August, when the kids are heading back to school, we have taken on the responsibility of supporting a First-grade class by providing necessary school supplies at the start and during the academic year. Witnessing the joy on the children's faces as they receive their new supplies is truly heartening, as they prepare for a year of learning and development. Our aim is to ease some of the financial strain on families and guarantee that every student is equipped with the resources required to thrive. By working together, we can positively impact the lives of these young learners and assist them in realizing their full potential.

Wishes Made To Come True

During the Christmas season, our organization works tirelessly to bring smiles to children and families in need. It warms our hearts to see the excitement on children's faces as they receive the gifts they've been dreaming of. In 2023, we were able to fulfill the wishes of ten children, making their holiday season extra special. In addition, we also partnered with Toys-4-Tots to provide toys to a local school, spreading even more joy and cheer. Seeing the impact of our efforts is truly rewarding, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
 

The Season of Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and coming together to share a meal with loved ones. It warms the heart to see the joy that a delicious Thanksgiving dinner can bring to families. In 2023, we supplied ten families with the ingredients for a Thanksgiving feast. We were able to spread happiness and make a difference in our community. In 2024, our goal is to triple our impact by reaching out to thirty families in need. With generous support and contributions, we can make this dream a reality and ensure that more families can enjoy a warm and bountiful Thanksgiving meal. Together, we can spread kindness, love, and the spirit of giving during this special time of the year. Let's work together to make this Thanksgiving season one to remember for even more families in our community.
